Take a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower, explore the Olympic sites of the Paris 2024 Olympics, visit your family in Bordeaux, attend your cousin’s wedding in Lyon, ski down the slopes in the Alps, climb the famous steps of the Cannes Film Festival, organize a business trip to Lille, attend a training course in Rennes, do an internship in Perpignan, spend your vacation in Normandy or Brittany... There are many reasons to come to France! But before crossing the Mediterranean for a stay of less than 90 days, Moroccan citizens must apply for a Schengen visa for France.
This uniform visa allows many non-European nationals to enter and travel freely within the Schengen Area, which includes 29 countries, including France.

Is travel insurance mandatory to come to France?
Yes, it is mandatory. According to the Schengen visa code, Moroccan applicants for short-stay visas, like all nationals whose nationality requires a Schengen visa, must provide a proof of travel insurance with their application.
This travel insurance must cover you in case of accidents, health issues, medical emergencies, hospitalization, and repatriation.
This Schengen visa insurance must guarantee a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros, be valid for the entire duration of your stay, and be accepted by all countries in the Schengen area. Without it, your visa application may be rejected, you may be denied entry to the Schengen area, or you may have to pay for medical expenses on-site in case of health issues.
