Italy is one of the 29 member countries of the Schengen Area. Therefore, Moroccan nationals are required to obtain a visa to travel to Italy. Thus, for their stay in Italian territory, foreign nationals from non-Schengen countries must apply for a visa, which will allow them to move freely within their destination country. Intended to cover a "short stay" (90 days), this visa is the same for all foreigners from countries that have not signed the Schengen agreements and have not made any exemption agreements, as some nations have. To travel to Europe, every Moroccan citizen must therefore apply for a visa before their trip.
