What documents are required for a visa application for Switzerland?
The following list includes all the required supporting documents. You must present the original documents and provide a translation for documents written exclusively in Arabic.
- 1 Schengen Visa Application Form "C" clearly filled out, dated, and signed by the applicant themselves or, if they are a minor, by their parents or legal representative(s)
- 1 recent passport-size photo, facing forward, with a width of 35 to 40 mm;
- Photocopy and the original passport (with a validity extending at least 3 months beyond the planned travel period).

- Photocopy of the national ID card or Moroccan residence card;
- Letter detailing the reason for travel (tourism, family, etc.).
- Proof of return flight reservation.
- Proof of accommodation in Switzerland (evidence of family stay, hotel booking, etc.).
- Proof of employment and income:

- Employment certificate specifying the position held, date of hiring, and monthly salary;
- Last 3 pay slips;
- Salary declaration certificate from the CNSS1;
- Bank statements for the last 3 months (current account + savings account, if applicable);

- Students:
- Proof of enrollment/student ID for the current year;
- Certified copies of the birth certificate and parents' family record book;
- Parental commitment to bear the expenses, signed and legalized;
- Proof of the social-professional status of the person supporting the applicant (see category above);
- Other proof of property ownership or other means of support, as applicable;
- Financial proof: documents (last 3 pay slips, original bank statement, etc.) demonstrating your financial stability and ability to cover your expenses during the stay.
- Employees:
- Travel insurance certificate: this coverage is mandatory to ensure the traveler's safety.
These documents are necessary to obtain a “short stay” visa. This visa allows you to stay up to 90 days in the Schengen Area. Moroccans traveling for work or study reasons will need to apply for a specific visa. The “short stay” visa is not suitable for their situation.
Who needs a Schengen visa to travel to Switzerland?
All travelers from Morocco must have a residence permit in their name. Although this visa is free for children under 6 years old, they are not exempt. A request must be made on their behalf. If traveling with family, remember that each person accompanying you will need their own personalized visa.
The price varies depending on the traveler's age:
- Adult: 80 €. (860 Moroccan Dirhams)
- Child aged 12 to 18 years: 80 €. (860 Moroccan Dirhams)
